News of today is history tomorrow
that's a fact with happiness and sorrow
news is always bound to fade away
turning into history next day

It's a soup that always brews
might be joy, it might be blues
quantity makes hard to choose
there's an awful lot of news

News reminds me almost of the weather
a cloud that's passing by just like a feather
news is not a thing that's here to stay
like all the grass at last will turn to hay

Talk about it at the dish
or share news with your neighbour
next day you will buy the fish
wrapped in the last day's paper
